Conditions for obtaining unemployment allowance

  • This salary shall be allocated at the request of the insured provided that the following is met:
  1. The number of his contributions under the provisions of the Social Security Law shall not be less than (36) actual contributions before the date of his entitlement to unemployment allowance, including at least one month of contribution to unemployment insurance.
  2. He should not have reached the age of (60) for males and (55) years for females.
  3. The reason for the entitlement shall be based on the insured’s unemployment of work during the period of months during which this allowance is paid.

Unemployment Allowance Entitlement Period

  • The insured shall be paid unemployment allowance each time such allowance is due in accordance with the following period:
  1. Three months if the number of his contributions under the provisions of the law is less than (180) subscriptions.
  2. Six months if the number of his contributions under the provisions of the law is (180) or more.
  • The unemployment allowance for the insured during the period of unemployment shall be calculated on the basis of the percentages set out below from the last deductible wage:
  1. (75.0%) for the first month.
  2. (65.0%) for the second month.
  3. (55.0%) for the third month.
  4. (45.0%) for each of the fourth, fifth and sixth months.

The insured shall be entitled to unemployment insurance for three times for the duration of his coverage by the provisions of the Social Security Law.

The unemployment allowance insurance shall be paid for any of the two subsequent times for the first time if the number of contributions of the insured in each of them is not less than (36) contributions subsequent to the payment of the unemployment allowance.
